As the coronavirus outbreak continues, and social distancing measures leave more people in isolation, vulnerable people in our communities are finding it increasingly difficult to complete tasks such as walking their dogs, or buying essentials like food and medicine.
Especially hard-hit are those people without many or any friends or family who might be able to help.
In a bid to provide these people with some extra support, Telford & Wrekin Council has launched the Community Support Hotline.
If you need help with basic tasks like shopping, collecting prescriptions, or even walking your dog, you can call the hotline on 01952 382030. The line is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
You can also register for this support online at any time on the Telford & Wrekin Council website.
If you are worried about a neighbour or a friend who might need support, please contact the Community Support Hotline and let them know.

Hollinswood & Randlay Parish Council has set up a dedicated group –
HARPC Community Support
– the idea is that when anyone needs help or support, or just a chat, in our community, an alert will be sent to all participants in the Group to see who is available to help. Also, if you are in isolation, you can join to ask for help with shopping, prescriptions, gas / electricity top ups. Lets pull together and support each other. To join please the link here:
You will need to do this from your mobile device to allow the link to work correctly.

It is with much regret that The Parish Council has decided to close all of our community buildings to all user groups and members of the public by 23rd March 2020. Randlay Community Centre will be closed from 21st March, with Hollinswood Neighbourhood Centre closing from 23rd March.
The Pavilion will be closed to all user groups and members of the public from 23rd March as well. However, as a Parish Council we are pleased that Telford and Wrekin Council are going to be using the location as part of their social care programme for the wider community during this very difficult and testing time. The Parish Council will be supporting this use but it is important that members of the public and all our user groups understand that centre is closed for everyone barring the groups in attendance from TWC.
